RAIN OR SHINE: Our annual Night Market is bigger and better than ever! Drawing inspiration from street markets commonly found in East and Southeast Asia, Asia Society Texas' all-ages festival celebrates Houston's AAPI communities through food, arts, and activities.
New this year, enjoy an expanded festival footprint, with room for even more vendors, activities, and fun! While the outdoor market is free and open to the public, tickets are required to access activities and performances inside Asia Society Texas' building.

Tickets for indoor activities are $5 and limited-quantity. Admission to sumo wrestling demonstrations is an additional $5; tickets are limited-quantity. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged.

After-Hours Exhibition Access
Featuring more than 30 paintings, sculptures, and textile works, this exhibition traces the evolution of renowned Himalayan artist Tsherin Sherpa's Spirits series as it stretches, bends, reconfigures, and repurposes elements from traditional Tibetan art, merging them with modern imagery.
Learn about the arts and cultures of Asia through an immersive journey to China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam — without ever leaving Houston. During Night Market, enjoy a selection of our Explore Asia exhibition's interactive stations!
Day-Of Information
Health and Safety
Night Market is a rain-or-shine event taking place both indoors and outdoors.
Asia Society Texas is closed to the public Friday, November 3, until Night Market begins at 6 p.m. Asia Society members are invited to enjoy early access to indoor activities, 5–6 p.m.; tickets are required for members after 6 p.m.
Starting at noon on Friday, November 3, Southmore Boulevard in front of the building will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Asia Society Texas is closed to the public Saturday, November 4.
Parking and Transportation
The Asia Society Texas parking lot will be used for the festival and will NOT be available for parking.
Parking options include:
- Holocaust Museum Houston (5401 Caroline Street)
- Museum Medical Tower (5714 Caroline Street Garage)
- Abm Parking Services (Binz Street and Caroline Street)
- Guests who park in the above garages or surface lots may enjoy pedicab service provided by Rollout Productions. Pedicabs will run on Caroline Street between the garage/lot entrances and Asia Society Texas. Pedicab pick-up and drop-off takes place at our parking lot's Caroline Street entrance.
- Street parking is also available.
- Bicycle racks are available in our parking lot for no cost.
Rideshare is encouraged: Compliments of our luxury rideshare partner Alto, enjoy $10 off rides to and from Asia Society Texas with code NIGHTMARKET, valid only November 3. Expect professional employee drivers, branded luxury SUVs, and phone chargers for your ride. To redeem:
- Download the Alto app and start a free 14-day membership trial.
- Add NIGHTMARKET during sign-up or under Promotions in the Profile tab of the Alto app.
- Once added, your credit will automatically apply to your rides.
- Rideshare drop-off takes place at our parking lot's Austin Street entrance; pick-up is at the Caroline Street entrance.
Public transit is also available: Asia Society Texas is a five-minute walk from the Museum District METRO Rail Station. For additional details about accessing the Museum District — including METRO Rail and more parking options — please visit the Houston Museum District website.
