Discounts
Seniors, military personnel, and guests with disabilities receive a 20% discount on onsite admission purchases.
Program Ticket Purchases
Program tickets may be purchased in-person at Asia Society Texas, by phone at 713.496.9901, and online via the Upcoming Events page.
Ticket prices vary by program. Effective January 1, 2024, students (college and graduate school) and educators enjoy $10 tickets for many of our programs. Valid school-issued I.D. is required at check-in at our Guest Services desk.

Parking
Asia Society Texas' parking lot is located directly across the building on Southmore Boulevard. Enter from either Caroline Street or Austin Street.
- Entry: $7.00 (credit/debit card only). Use the same credit card when entering and exiting the parking lot. The charge will apply upon exit.
- Asia Society Texas members pay only $5 for parking. Please use your credit card to access our parking, and visit our front desk where the actual charge of $5 will be made on your card.
- Prepaid parking is available to patrons attending many of our programs. Please see the parking section in our ticketing policies for more information.
Metered street parking is available via ParkHouston. There is a 4-hour time limit for all metered street parking in the Museum District.
Getting Here
The Texas Center is a five-minute walk from the Museum District METRO Rail Station.
Bicycle racks are available in the parking lot at no cost, and are located in the southeast corner near the intersection of Southmore Boulevard and Austin Street.

Accessibility
Assistance for Guests with Limited Mobility
- A wheelchair is available for guests to use at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. The wheelchair may be requested at Guest Services.
- A wheelchair lift is available for access to the Brown Foundation Performing Arts Theater.
- Wheelchair-accessible seating is available for all programs and events.
- An elevator is available with access to both floors of Asia Society Texas Center.
- Accessible parking spots are located in our lot in the southeast corner, near the intersection of Southmore Boulevard and Austin Street.
Additional Offerings
- Text captions for exhibitions currently on view are available in large-font format. The texts may be requested at Guest Services.
- Assistive Listening Devices are available for many programs and events. The receiver and headset may be requested at Guest Services.
- ASL interpretation is available for most programs and events, upon request with advance notice. To ensure a certified ASL interpreter's availability, please include your request when purchasing a ticket or RSVPing for a program, at least three (3) business days prior to the program date. Questions and requests may also be emailed to [email protected].
Service Animals
- We welcome service animals that are trained to work or perform tasks for guests with disabilities.
- Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the guest's disability prevents the use of these devices. In these cases, the guest must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
- Service animal relief areas are located outdoors on any of the grassy areas.
Additional Visitor Information
First aid supplies and a cloak room are available at the Guest Services desk. If you lose or find an item at Asia Society Texas, please report it at Guest Services.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located on the first floor of Asia Society Texas. The family/unisex restroom includes a changing table. All restrooms are wheelchair-accessible.
Gift Shop
AST's Pop-Up Shop sells apparel, tumblers, tote bags, stationery, and more! All items are available for purchase onsite only. Members receive a 10 percent discount. Asia Society New York's AsiaStore can be accessed online.
Photography Policy
Guests are encouraged to capture their experiences at AST. While photography and videography are allowed for personal use only, the use of flash, tripods and monopods, and selfie sticks is prohibited at all times. For commercial photography inquiries, please contact Stephanie Todd-Wong, Vice President, Communications and External Affairs, at [email protected].
AST reserves the right to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph or record video on its premises.
Prayer Spaces
Designated prayer spaces are available for guests attending programs and events. Please inquire about prayer spaces at Guest Services.
Firearms Policy
Pursuant to Section 30.05, Penal Code (criminal trespass), a person may not enter this property with a firearm.
Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun.
Pursuant to Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly.
