Young Professionals: Leo Bar Kobe Cook-Off
VIEW EVENT DETAILSUpdate: Please note that this program has already taken place. To see photos from the program, please visit our blog.
Fresh off your Thanksgiving food coma, join chefs Donald Chang of Nara Sushi & Korean Kitchen and Mark Gabriel Medina of Soma Sushi as they battle to prepare the most inventive dishes from a delectable Japanese ingredient — Kobe beef!
Culinary prowess will be judged by food writer Eric Sandler (CultureMap), ABC 13 television personality Katherine Whaley, and Joshua Silver (Local Foods) as they crown a victor. KHOU News anchor Lily Jang will emcee the program, and our spotlight chefs will visit with guests to take photos and sign autographs following the cook-off. Hublot will serve as the official timekeeper of the event.
Asia Society Texas Center’s premier Leo Bar events gather Houston’s young professional community for cultural evenings of cuisine, cocktails, and creativity. While only the judges will taste the chef's Kobe creations, all guests will enjoy other complimentary culinary tastings, as well as libations from our cash bar.
