VIEW EVENT DETAILS

Education

Stop by Asia Society Texas Center monthly on select Saturdays between 1:00 and 3:00 pm for an art-making activity designed just for you. Explore traditions such as washi scrolls and remembrance poppies from Japan, and intricate weaving patterns from Indonesia and Uzbekistan.

Please join us on December 7 for remembrance poppies, commemorating the lives lost during the bombing of Pearl Harbor seventy-two years ago and celebrating the positive connections made between Japan and the United States in the decades since. These creations also make great gifts for children wishing to give their relatives and friends an early holiday surprise! We will also have Japanese-inspired coloring sheets and a drawing game for younger children or visitors of all ages who wish to try their hands at another project.

Families and children of all ages are welcome to stop by and participate in these free events.
