VIEW EVENT DETAILS
Art Tour: 'Divine Spark: Kana Harada'

UPDATE (January 7, 2022) — This tour has been canceled. We welcome you to visit the exhibition in its final weekend, through January 9.

Docent-led tours of Asia Society Texas Center’s exhibitions allow visitors to experience art on a personal level, learn about art historical periods and styles, and hear stories associated with the artwork. Join us for a docent-led tour of our Divine Spark: Kana Harada exhibition currently on view.

About the Exhibition

Artist Kana Harada has produced new works during this time of global pandemic that blend messages of hope and positivity with visual innovations that create an imaginative universe of awe, wonder, and intimacy. In Divine Spark: Kana Harada, she pushes sculpture, installation, and painting in innovative directions. Consisting largely of multimedia sculptures with striking painted details, intricate paper cut installations, and vibrant acrylic and watercolor paintings, she expresses the extraordinary that can be found in the ordinary, and the light that can be found in darkness.

Harada invites viewers to engage with her work by using the galleries as a space of contemplation and renewal. The exhibition draws the natural world into museum spaces and embodies the artist's wishes for a peaceful and bright future for all.
