August 10, 2018 — The reviews are out: Crazy Rich Asians is a hit!

Author Kevin Kwan published his bestselling novel in 2013, and producers jumped in for the film rights. It has been 25 years since The Joy Luck Club was released, marking the last time a major Hollywood motion picture starred a majority Asian cast. The Texas Center was proud to host Kwan in 2013 to discuss the novel Crazy Rich Asians and in 2015 to discuss the sequel, China Rich Girlfriend, and our goal is to continue covering his journey.
