HOUSTON, May 21, 2013 — Asia Society Texas Center hosted a reception for Mr. Ashok Kumar Mirpuri, Singapore's Ambassador to the United States, who came to Houston on Tuesday. Mr. Mirpuri called ASTC an oasis and touted Texas' top trade numbers as something attractive to Singapore. Ambassador Mirpuri said that the connection between Asia and the U.S. has grown into a very strong relationship, and applauded growing U.S. investments in his country.
