DUBAI, December 5, 2023 — On the sidelines of COP28, Asia Society Policy Institute, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), TERI School of Advanced Studies (SAS), and the Center for International Climate Research (CICERO) co-organize an official side event that synthesizes perspectives on tools and enablers to promote just energy transitions and further international cooperation. Speakers include Dr. Vibha Dhawan, director general of TERI, who provided the welcome address, followed by high-level remarks from Dr. Ajay Mathur, director general of International Solar Alliance; Ramesh Subramaniam, director general of the Asian Development Bank; and Fabby Tumiwa, executive director of the Institute for Essential Services Reform. Technical case studies were presented by Dr. Shailly Kedia, senior fellow of TERI; Dr. Solveig Aamodt, senior researcher of CICERO; Bhavya Batra, doctoral scholar of TERI SAS; and Kate Logan, associate director for Climate of the Asia Society Policy Institute. Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri, former diplomat and distinguished fellow of TERI, chaired the event.
