Conversations France-Asie 2022: Cyberspace and Outer Space
PARIS, October 13, 2022 — Asia Society France officially opens its center with a global launch titled Conversations France-Asie 2022 - “To Act in Troubled Times: New Perspectives from France, Asia, Africa, and the World.” In the fifth session, speakers discuss the borders that exist in both cyberspace and outer space, the importance of the study of evolution and the level of implication in outer space across the globe in studying the planet, how new discoveries can go hand in hand with a new set of confrontations and limitations, and how countries are cooperating through networks. Participants include Aliette de Bodard, computer engineer and speculative fiction writer; Massimo Claudio Comparini, deputy CEO and executive senior vice president of Observation Exploration Navigation at Thales Alenia Space; Nicolas Gaume, co-founder and CEO of Space Cargo Unlimited; Admiral Édouard Guillaud, former chief of defense staff and former Military National Security advisor; and Nowmay Opalinski, Ph.D. candidate and data Specialist at Geopolitics of the Datasphere (GEODE).
