The Third Pole: Asia's Frozen Reservoir
SAN FRANCISCO, September 11, 2018 — Climate experts discuss how climate change affects the glacial ice systems of the Tibetan Plateau and the impact this will have on the more than two billion people who depend on them. Speakers include the former president of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, filmmaker and founder of GlacierWorks David Breashears, and director of Divecha Centre for Climate Change Arjun Divecha. The conversation was moderated by Shyla Raghav, climate lead at Global Strategy Group, and was part of COAL + ICE in San Francisco, a three-week climate-related festival of dance, spoken word, food, family activities, films, educational programming, and creative dialogue that invites diverse audiences to participate in a conversation about climate change.
