On the Ground: The Gen A Alumni Travel Grant
VIEW EVENT DETAILSLearn About Martín Mosteiro Romero's Research and the IMP AG
With a globally increasing urban population, the development of sustainable urban areas that support the needs of their dwellers is a pressing need worldwide. The widespread availability of open datasets in cities is transforming the way urban energy systems are planned, simulated and visualized. However, such data-driven initiatives often neglect the central role of urban dwellers, whose activities create the demand for energy and mobility in urban areas.
As part of the Gen A Day 2024, Martín Mosteiro Romero, the inaugural recipient of the Gen A Alumni Travel Grant will speak about his research project in Seoul, South Korea – the highest-ranked Asian country on open data readiness, implementation and impact. For his case study, Martín collaborated with Professor Yujin Park at Chung-Ang University's Urban Planning Department, and recruited 22 study participants to create a data set on their subjective thermal comfort data in a specific urban area. He will present how he went about collecting the data on the ground and what will happen to the data sets after his stay.
We invite Asia Society Members to join us for this session of the first Gen A Day, the annual meeting of the graduates of the Gen A – Young Leadership Program.
