Arts and Culture

Big Picture
© André Hengst

Arts and culture are an important pillar of our work in fostering Asia Competence in Switzerland, as they open a window into our time and the many experiences and challenges we face – as individuals, nations, and as a collective. With Big Picture, we create a space where we not only talk about art and culture but experience it first-hand – be it visually, sensory, through motion, or other participatory elements. Big Picture makes art and culture tangible.

Taking place four times per year at the historic Karl der Grosse venue in downtown Zurich, Big Picture celebrates art in all its forms and shapes: be it food, fashion, movies, museums, or literature. In every iteration, we invite artists, curators, and experts to talk about their practices and how these can help shed light on the world we live in.
