MUMBAI, March 7, 2019 — Jyotindra Jain, former director of the Crafts Museum, Delhi, and curator of the seminal exhibition Other Masters: Five Contemporary Folk and Tribal Artists of India (1989), shares research from his newest publication on the life and practice of the Pardhan artist Jangarh Singh Shyam. His presentation was followed by a conversation with designer, art historian, and curator Annapurna Garimella on the mediated demarcations between folk art and modern art. (1 hr., 47 min.)
