Participation

This event is for Gen A fellows only. If you would like to become a fellow, keep an eye on our Call for Application for 2023, which will be posted towards the end of the year.

For our sixth and last Gen A Roundtable, we are sitting down with Kristin Höltge, head Central Asia desk at OSCE Secretariat. Together, we will be taking a closer look at Central Asia within the context of international cooperation, development, peace, and conflict prevention.

What are the responsibilities of a Head of the Central Asia Desk? How does the OSCE work in Central Asia to promote its goals? What are current challenges the organization encounters? And how does the ongoing war in Ukraine impact the region in terms of food stability, economics and general peace building efforts?

Join our exclusive Roundtable and find out the answers to these and your own questions.

Kristin Höltge

Kristin Höltge is the Head of the Central Asia Desk at the OSCE Secretariat since 2017. Before, she served in Brussels as the Political Advisor to the EU Special Representative on Central Asia after completing an assignment as the Senior Field Representative of the OSCE mission in Kyrgyzstan. Earlier, she co-ordinated multiple projects of the GIZ Police Support Programme in Afghanistan, and worked in the consultancy sector in London, at International Crisis Group in Brussels and the Berghof Foundation in Berlin. She holds a MA degree in East European Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, and speaks English and Russian besides her native language German.
