Arnaud Favry studied Chinese language and civilization at the National Institute of Oriental Studies in Paris (INALCO) and Public Affairs at Sciences Po Paris for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, before graduating from Harvard Business School with an MBA in 2016.
Arnaud started his career in the cabinets of the French Minister of Health and Sports (2008-2010) and the Minister of Social Affairs (2010-2011). In 2011, he moved to the medical sector, joining Institut Mérieux, in charge of the founding family's institutional and public relations in Beijing. In 2017, he joined bioMérieux as Asia Pacific Strategic Initiatives Manager based in Singapore. In 2019, he took over the commercial development of the company in Indonesia. In 2020, he relocated to Lyon to develop a comprehensive patient value strategy for the group. He is now Senior Director of Public and Governmental Affairs of bioMérieux. His experience and competence are focused on the healthcare sector and international trade.
Arnaud is also interested in geopolitics and Asian affairs. In 2012, he co-founded the Marco Polo Institute, a think tank active in Beijing aiming at identifying innovative public policies and corporate practices in China. In 2016, he became a laureate of the Young Leader program of the France-China Foundation and is still active as a member of the Foundation's steering committee.
In 2022, he became a laureate of the Young Leaders program of Institut Aspen France, and part of the 2023 Class of Asia Society’s Asia 21 Next Generation Fellows, recognizing outstanding leaders from all over the world, united in their commitment to shaping a more peaceful, prosperous, and secure future for all. In 2024, he was named for a second time in the Choiseul 100, a list highlighting young contributors to the influence of the French economy worldwide.
