KPMG’s U.S. India practice is pleased to cosponsor this event with the Asia Society and the U.S. India Business Council.

Mr. John Veihmeyer, Chairman, KPMG LLP, will inaugurate the meeting. Speakers and panelists include Dr. Ajay Chhibber, Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations; Mr. Parag Saxena, Founding General Partner and CEO, New Silk Route Partners; Mr. Arvind Sanger, Founder, Geosphere Capital Management; and Mr. Chris Faulkner-MacDonagh, Senior Economist, Ziff Brothers Investments (ZBI). The panel of professionals will share their insights relating to:
* The economic survey and the budget
* Prospects and opportunities for India in 2012.

In March, the Government of India will publish its economic survey and submit its budget to the Indian Parliament. This annual event is an opportunity to hear informed views on the prospects and risks presented by one of the most important economies in the world.

This informative event will be hosted by Arun Kumar, partner in charge, KPMG’s U.S. India practice. Vikas Vasal, Tax partner with KPMG in India (on rotation in the U.S.) will provide an overview of the budget and its implications on tax and investment.
