Free Benefit Concert for Japan
VIEW EVENT DETAILSAsia Society's staff of artists is coming together in solidarity to share their talents to benefit the victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami. This concert will feature music by The Truthseekers, testimonials from invited guests including artists Mariko Mori, Nobuho Nagasawa, and Asia Society curator Miwako Tezuka, as well as photographer Tomo Yagi of the project "Prayer for Japan."
Please come and give whatever you can to help and support the relief. Japan Society will ensure that 100% of your generous tax-deductible contributions will go to organizations that directly help victims recover from the devastating effects of the earthquake and tsunamis that struck Japan on March 11, 2011.
Firmly rooted in the American musical idioms, The Truthseekers' Wurlitzer-based blues and R&B still boast an international soul. The Truthseekers' message of peace, love, and understanding is one of sincerity conveyed through driving, danceable rhythms, expert instrumentation, gospel and Harlem-inspired vocalizations.
