Presently, Gen. Petraeus is Chairman of the KKR Global Institute overseeing its investment process, its thought leadership platform focused on geopolitical and macroeconomic trends, as well as environmental, social, and governance issues.

Speakers
General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus is Chairman of the KKR Global Institute. Prior to joining KKR, he served nearly four decades, including as commander of coalition forces in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and commander of the U.S. Central Command. Following his service in the military, Gen. Petraeus served as the Director of the CIA. He graduated with distinction from the U.S. Military Academy and subsequently earned M.P.A. and Ph.D. degrees in international relations from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School. He is Senior Vice-President of the Royal United Services Institute, as well as a member of the advisory boards of the Institute for the Study of War and a number of veterans organizations.
Josette Sheeran is the seventh President and CEO of Asia Society. She is responsible for leading and advancing the organization's work throughout the U.S. and Asia, and across its disciplines of arts and culture, policy and business, and education. She is former Vice Chairman of the World Economic Forum, and served at the Harvard Kennedy School as Fisher Fellow in the Future of Diplomacy. Prior to her tenure at the World Economic Forum, Ms. Sheeran was executive director of the United Nations World Food Programme.
