VIEW EVENT DETAILSAsia: Beyond the Headlines

Pre-event reception 5:30PM
Discussion begins at 6:30PM
The world is witnessing a rapid shift in the global economic landscape, and India's positioning offers a unique opportunity for it to emerge as a new powerhouse.
As global manufacturers continue to look beyond China, India is stepping up to seize the moment, particularly in key technologies related to chips and electronics. India’s digital payments stack — considered to be the best in the world, with a billion smartphones and data rates that rank among the lowest in the world — is enabling financial access and inclusion for the masses. This digital and financial inclusion has led to significant advances in consumerism beyond the major cities, promising long-term growth in lower-tier cities and ultimately, across India.
Please join Nivruti Rai, Arvind Subramanian, Dr. Naresh Trehan in a panel discussion moderated by Arvind Sanger on factors that contribute to India's distinctive positioning in technology and manufacturing, and how India is positioning itself to become a leading player in the global arena.
