Student Mentor Talks: «Preparing for the Asian Century»

What will I do once I graduate? What influence will Asia have on my future career? Should I apply for a job in Asia? These are probably some of the questions that have crossed your mind recently.
On May 3 we would like to give you the opportunity to talk directly to people who have worked and lived in Asia and gained valuable experience in their respective fields. See the full list and their CVs below.
They are looking forward to meeting you and supporting you in your decisions regarding your further education or initial career steps.
Program:

Registration:
You will be asked to include two mentor choices in your registration. It is also possible to stay with the same mentor for both rounds. Each mentor will be paired with 5-10 students.

The Mentors:
Urs Meile established a self-titled gallery for contemporary art in Lucerne in 1992. After visiting China on the invitation of Uli Sigg in 1995, Meile opened a Beijing branch housed in a series of Ai Weiwei-designed buildings in Caochangdi in 1996. Since then, and especially since his expansion to the 798 Art District in Beijing in 2017, his galleries have grown to become China’s most reputable contemporary art galleries - meeting place for collectors, curators and artists in China.
Chitra Narayanan is a former journalist, career diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service. Educated in Delhi University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Political Science with specialization in Modern Chinese History and Vietnam. Diplomatic postings as Ambassador of India to Sweden, Latvia, Turkey, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and the Holy See. She is currently an Associate Fellow of the Geneva Center for Security Policy GCSP, Advisory Board Member of Global Female Leaders, and an independent Strategic Advisor to think tanks and business.
Nina Belz works as an editor of the Asia department of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. Born in 1983 in Thurgau, she studied Political Science and International Law at the University of Zurich. Since her internship at the Swiss Embassy in South Korea she is attracted to East Asia and to writing. She wrote for different German and Swiss newspapers, such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, whereafter she returned to the NZZ. Her main field of responsibility is reporting about politics in Asia, including traveling to Asia several times every year.
Philippe Welti worked more than 30 years, alternating with positions at headquarters in Berne, as an official representative of Switzerland in various places in the world. Diplomatic postings as Ambassador in India and in Iran, Deputy Head of Mission in Germany and, during six years, Political Director with the Swiss Defence Ministry in Berne have given him a broad experience in international affairs.
