Spanning over 148 hectares of land, The Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden is a beautiful site for flora and fauna conservation, organic agriculture and environmental education, transforming what was once barren scrubland into a mature forest. Complementing our newly opened exhibition – To See the Forest and the Trees – this nature tour will be taking you through a unique collection of indigenous and exotic plants and animals, to deepen your experience of Hong Kong’s trees and biodiversity. This one-of-a-kind nature tour is the perfect outing for an exciting yet educational summer day trip.
Join us on a guided eco-tour to discover the native ecosystem in Hong Kong and botanical sanctuaries. We will visit the Eco-garden, a self-contained, self-sufficient garden grown in harmony with nature, the Plants and Us Greenhouse, to explore humans' relationship with plants, and the Native Mammal Display, home to two Leopard Cats and one Masked Palm Civet, saved from the deforestation of their natural habitat. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to meet Kadoorie Farm Animal Keepers and learn about how they take care of wildlife.
Points to Note: Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear, apply sunscreen and mosquito repellent as we will be taking the eco-tour outdoors, and bring along umbrellas in case of rainy weather. Please also bring your own refillable water bottles as no bottled water is available.
