Asia Society x VisAsia Council| Japan Supernatural: Cultural Diplomacy Re-imagined (Sydney)
VIEW EVENT DETAILSHow do Japan’s beliefs, folklore and tradition influence and aid its actions on the global stage?
Inspired by the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ Japan Supernatural exhibit, where Japanese tradition and modernity collides, this exclusive breakfast panel will look at the use of cultural diplomacy in 2020 and discuss whether Japan will continue its rise as a global soft power leader.
In celebration of the exhibit’s final week, join us as we discover the enduring influence of Japanese art, culture and cuisine in the world from multiple perspectives. Dr Geoff Raby AO, Chairman of VisAsia, will deliver welcome remarks.
