Author Yvette Fernandez and illustrator Isabel Roxas will discuss their new children's book Life Is Good: A Tale of Two Elephants, which explores the themes of love and loss. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at AsiaStore.
Fernandez's late sister and co-author Jackie Fernandez-Suntay had just finished her fellowship at a Harvard Medical School hospital when she was diagnosed with cancer. She and her husband Bobbit Suntay founded the Carewell Community Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that provides information and support to people living with cancer.
About the Author and Illustrator
Yvette Fernandez is the editor of Town & Country Philippines and the author of over a dozen books including Haluhalo Espesyal, Nanay Coring: The Story of Nat'l Book Store's Socorro Ramos, and Simply Jesse: The Story of Jesse Robredo.
Isabel Roxas is an award-winning illustrator, designer, ceramicist, and avid reader. She has illustrated numerous children's books, including Let me Finish! (Mihn Le), Araw sa Palengke (May Tobias Papa), and 2018 Newbery Medal winner Hello, Universe (Erin Entrada Kelly).
