Celebrate the Year of the Pig! Asia Society rings in the Year of the Pig with performances and traditional craft activities inspired by Lunar New Year traditions across Asia. Activities will include a Lion Dance and kung fu demonstration, musical performances, and more.

Please note: we will hold 2 performances of the lion dance this year. Please indicate at the check in if you would like to attend the early or late show. 

Schedule of Events:

2:00 PM: Bo Law Kung Fu: Lion Dance and Kung Fu demonstration (Performance 1)
New York Bo Law Kung-Fu martial arts school presents a traditional Lion Dance followed by an interactive Kung Fu demonstration.

3:00 PM: Chinese Theatre Works: Cheng-Er Flies to the Moon 
Chinese Theatre works wows with special performances of their original shadow puppet performance of "Cheng-Er Flies to the Moon,” also featuring live folk musicians. 

4:15 PM: Bo Law Kung Fu: Lion Dance and Kung Fu demonstration (Performance 2)

1:00-5:00 PM: Ongoing Arts and Crafts activities on the 8th floor:
--Shadow puppet making with Chinese Theatre Works
--Korean Kite making
--Vietnamese Dong Ho Folk painting 
--Clay pig charm making with Syma
--Tibetan butter sculpture making
