From the COVID Front Lines: Debunking Myths and Stigmas in South Asia
VIEW EVENT DETAILSOver the last year and a half, misinformation and more importantly, disinformation pertaining to COVID-19 has had a direct bearing on how communities across South Asia have, are, and will continue responding to the pandemic. In the fight against the pandemic, both in the region as well as globally, access to the factual and accurate information about COVID-19 is as important as access to essential medical care.
Join us for a conversation on practical ways to filter through the plethora of information available, in a bid to sift myth from reality to help curb the spread. Dr. Faheem Younus, Chief of Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health, will join in conversation with Asia Society Asia 21 Young Leader and Editor-in-Chief of Foreign Policy magazine Ravi Agrawal, on debunking the misinformation surrounding the pandemic and its fallout in South Asia.
