Middle East: Business and Investment Opportunities in Light of the Changes and its Political Stability in the Eyes of Foreign Investors
Guest Speaker
Mr. Saad Al-Ali, Chief Editor, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)
12 noon, Thursday, November 13, 2014
Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has been making news headlines throughout 2014. With their graphic depictions of executions and reports of violent crimes against women and children, it is no surprise that many today consider the violent Islamic State ISIS more threatening than al-Qaeda.
What seemed to be at first an issue solely within the Middle East, has now hit home in many countries. In addition to attempted terrorist attacks on foreign soil outside of Iraq and Syria, ISIS also released footage of several Western journalists' being beheaded.
As the international community becomes increasingly aware of the current situation of political unrest and crimes against humanity in the Middle East, we are faced with the question of how this will affect foreign investment in the Middle East.
Asia Society’s guest speaker Mr. Saadi Al-Ali the chief editor of KUNA (Kuwait News Agency) will be giving a lecture covering the current situation in the Middle East and how there are still enormous business investment opportunities for foreign investors in light of the current political issues within Iraq and Syria.
