COVID-FREE SOUTH ASIA

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Asia Society India Centre has been convening several discussions on the infrastructure crunch in the public health system of South Asia and the need for an overhaul to ensure efficient service delivery. We have hosted senior epidemiologists, virologists and social sector experts including Dr. Shahid Jameel, Dr. Zarir Udwadia, Dr. Gagandeep Kang and Harsh Mander among others.

We share with you some snippets of these public health programmes which provide important information about the pandemic, vaccines, preventive health practices and address vital concerns regarding ways to prevent spread of misinformation.
