About Master Class - Eco-friendly Human Sculptures, from 2D to 3D

Daily utensils carry a fragment of the users’ memories, but they tend to be discarded too soon and too easily. Since eight years ago, artist Carrie Chau has begun to mould abandoned containers of everyday products into human sculptures by adding clay and her signature drawings. She named these sculptures under a themed series, ‘3D Diary' as records of people's personal stories. In this workshop, Chau will work with participants in using discarded utensils, clay and paint, to re-create their personal stories with their own hands.

About Carrie Chau
Carrie Chau is an artist with the gift of drawing equally well with both hands. She studied at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Chelsea College of Arts.Chau has held several solo art exhibitions including “Black Sheep” in 2007 and “Indigo Child” in 2008 at Hong Kong Time Square. Since 2011, Chau has acquired inspiration for her work through traveling. She has been to Amazon Rainforest, Easter Island, Bhutan and Bolivia. Currently Chau is creating her brand new painting series – “Game Of Life”.
