We are pleased to present on-the-ground public health experts and internationally renowned specialists with the latest facts and evidence-based findings regarding this epidemic outbreak. In the past two years, we have featured over 30 episodes and welcomed nearly 200,000 online views for this groundbreaking series. We deliver the latest Covid-19 updates with Hong Kong and the global community by hosting Dr. Judy Blaine, Founder of Odyssey. In this discussion, we will learn about some tips for dealing with stress, trauma, and anxiety, as well as staying mentally healthy during isolation. S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center will moderate the discussion.
Dr. Judy Blaine was born and bred in South Africa and has lived and worked in Hong Kong for the past 27 years. Judy originally qualified as a nursing sister and midwife before completing her BSc (hons) in Psychology though UK Open University. She then undertook a PGDE in Special Educational Needs at the HKU, while working in the Individual Needs Department at two ESF schools, simultaneously completing her Psychology Masters through Liverpool University online.Judy achieved her PhD in Psychology from Rhodes University South Africa and remains a Research Associate with the university. Her research has been published in several peer reviewed journals, the most recent of which explored the psychosocial consequences of COVID-19 for expatriates and the effects of mandatory quarantine in Hong Kong. Judy founded her own company, Odyssey, which offers a strength-based approach to wellbeing.
