Join  Neena Gupta, award-winning actor, television director, and author of her biography 'Sach Kahun Toh' and her actor/fashion designer daughter Masaba, in conversation with Sanjoy K Roy. Come along for an evening as they discuss fashion, film, and family.

Neena Gupta

Neena Gupta is an award winning film, TV and theatre actor, a director, and producer. Her remarkable body of work, covers a range of styles and she continues to have impact across a variety of genres. Penguin Random house has recently published her biography ‘Sach Kahun Toh’.


Masaba

Masaba is an Indian fashion designer and an actor. She has her own very successful label, ‘House of Masaba’.  Masaba and her mother Neena Gupta have acted in two seasons of the critically acclaimed Netflix show ‘Masaba Masaba’ where they play mother-daughter in a fictional series inspired by their real lives.


Sanjoy K. Roy

Sanjoy K. Roy (moderator), an entrepreneur of the arts, is Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 33 festivals in 42 cities and 17 countries, including the world’s largest literary gathering — the Jaipur Literature Festival and international editions of JLF. He is a founder-trustee of Salaam Baalak Trust, working to provide support services for street and working children in the inner city of Delhi where over 1,30,000 children have benefited from education, training and residential services. Roy is the Co-chair of the Art and Culture Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and former President of Event and Entertainment Management Association. He lectures at and works in collaboration with leading universities across the world and has been conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of the University honoris causa by University of York, UK, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the arts and society.

About India by The Bay:

India by the Bay is a week-long celebration of Indian art and culture co-presented by Teamwork Arts and the Asia Society Hong Kong Center, with the support of the Consulate General of India in Hong Kong. The festival features literature, music, food, dance and theatre, encompassing both the contemporary and classic.

The Festival is dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships between India and Hong Kong. It is a unique opportunity for the people of Hong Kong to experience and engage with India’s rich cultural heritage.
