Executive Briefing | An Update From Indonesia With H.E. Penny Williams and Iwan Sunito
VIEW EVENT DETAILSEnhancing our economic and business partnerships with Indonesia
How can Australia strengthen its economic and business relationship with its largest neighbour?
The Australia-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership, signed in 2018, placed both the Australian and Indonesian economies on a trajectory of unprecedented cooperation. Now, with the ongoing presence of COVID-19, our countries require innovative ways to continue building opportunities for bilateral investment, tourism, and trade.
With vaccinations being rolled out in both Indonesia and Australia, our countries must now seek new ways to reignite people-to-people exchange. The idea of establishing travel corridors and tourist “green zones” may be part of restoring such two-way mobility. As Indonesia’s economy also continues to rapidly expand, Australian business and industry must be equipped with the know-how to thrive in its complex and emerging markets.
Join Her Excellency Penny Williams PSM Australia's Ambassador to Indonesia, and Iwan Sunito, Chairman and CEO of Crown Group, for a discussion with Helen Brown, Communications and Outreach Lead of the Australia-Indonesia Centre, on how to enhance our future economic and business partnerships.
