Rina Sawayama is a British-Japanese musician and actor who started her solo music career after graduating from Cambridge University in 2012. Born in 1979 in Saitama, Japan, Kenji Yamada joined TV Asahi in 2003 after graduating from Keio University. He worked as a film/TV producer for over 10 years, producing numerous notable works, including the film Gaku and the TV series Border and Dele. Yamada is a two-time winner of the Tokyo Drama Awards and a three-time winner of the Galaxy Awards.

In 2019, Dele won the Grand Prix at the MIPCOM Buyers’ Awards for Japanese Drama. Since April 2019, Yamada has been working at Toho as a producer and chief manager of the planning and production department. Among his notable productions are the Netflix series The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House, written and directed by Kore-eda Hirokazu, and A Hundred Flowers, the first Japanese film to win the Silver Shell for Best Director at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Additionally, he produced Kore-eda Hirokazu’s latest film Monster, which earned the Best Screenplay and the Queer Palm at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Born in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture in 1964, Takashi Yamazaki is a Japanese filmmaker and visual effects supervisor, counted as one of Japan's leading film directors. He credits childhood viewings of Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind with influencing his pursuit of a career in special effects. After graduating from Asagaya College of Art and Design, he joined Shirogumi Inc. in 1986.

Through working on SFX and digital compositing in films directed by Juzo Itami, such as The Last Dance (1993) and A Quiet Life (1995), he made his debut as a film director in 2000 with Juvenile and became a leading figure in visual expression and VFX using computer graphics in Japan.

Always: Sunset on Third Street (2005), using VFX to depict the streets of Tokyo in the late 1950s, won 12 awards, including Best Picture and Best Director at the 29th Japan Academy Film Prize. His films The Eternal Zero (2013) and Stand by Me Doraemon (2014) won Best Picture and 8 other awards at the 38th Japan Academy Film Prize, as
well as the Best Animation Film in the same year.

Eunice Lee is the Chief Operating Officer of Scopely, one of the fastest growing mobile-first video game companies in the world. Scopely creates and publishes a diverse portfolio of award-winning game experiences, including Star Trek™ Fleet Command, MONOPOLY GO!, MARVEL Strike Force, among others. Lee serves on the Board of Directors and the Los Angeles Advisory Board for Facing History and Ourselves, a nonprofit focused on educational development. Jen Oneal is a video game industry veteran who has more than two decades of experience in the gaming industry. She got her start in production at LucasArts in the late 1990s working on the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises before becoming a producer at Activision where she produced several titles in the Tony Hawk Franchise.

As an Executive Producer at Vicarious Visions, Oneal managed multiple teams producing owned and licensed IP games including Marvel Ultimate Alliance II, as well as several Skylanders and Guitar Hero titles.

In 2016, Oneal was appointed as the Studio Head of Vicarious Visions during a challenging time for the studio.  With focused efforts on re-energizing the culture and morale, Oneal oversaw the transformation of the studio into a high performing team.  During this time, she oversaw the development and production of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, several Destiny expansions, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 and Diablo II: Resurrected with Blizzard Entertainment. In 2020, The relationship with Blizzard proved to be a formula worth growing and Oneal and the Vicarious Visions team became a part of Blizzard. There, Oneal served in multiple leadership roles including co-lead of Blizzard before leaving in 2021.

Currently, Oneal serves as a co-founder, CEO and Head Chef at Magic Soup Games.  A newly formed startup dedicated to making massive games that make you feel good.

Oneal is passionate about advancing the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry. She currently serves on the board of Women in Gaming International as well as the leadership team of the National Coalition for Equity Impact. She also served for more than five years as an advisory board member to the Young Women’s Leadership Initiative. Oneal is the recipient of the Great Place to Work for All award.

Oneal holds a BA from the University of Florida and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

As a seasoned executive in the esports industry, Tricia Sugita has spearheaded transformative change at leading organizations, showcasing greatness and innovation throughout her career. Starting as a competitive StarCraft II player and streamer, she transitioned to hosting major esports events. Her experience paved the path for her to become the Global Director of Esports at Azubu, where she spearheaded efforts that skyrocketed web traffic to 12 million unique monthly visitors. Her tenure at FlyQuest as CEO is where she pioneered the Go Green initiative and established FlyQuest as the first and only esports organization to advocate for environmental causes. During her time as COO and CMO at Cloud9, one of the top three most valuable esports companies globally, Sugita orchestrated strategic initiatives and a rebrand that elevated the organization to new heights.

Vincent Imaoka works in the entertainment licensing industry. He started off in the anime industry as an Assistant Producer in Tokyo, prior to transitioning to the toy industry as an acquisitions executive for Hasbro. After Hasbro, he worked at Netflix as Producer on titles like Transformers: War For Cybertron, Arcane, Blood of Zeus, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. However, toys have been a passion for Imaoka, and he made his way back into the industry with Sega Toys as their Chief of Licensing - Americas and Paramount Pictures as Category Lead of Collector Business.

Alexander C. Lee is currently the Head of Licensing and Brand Partnerships at Toho International and manages an IP portfolio that includes the iconic Godzilla franchise in addition to anime titles such as My Hero Academia, SPYxFAMILY: Code White and Dorohedoro. Born in San Francisco, Lee started his career in the Silicon Valley as a computer engineer before transitioning into the video game industry. His entry into entertainment IP licensing began at Electronic Arts with The Sims before he managed other triple-A titles such as Battlefield, EA Sports, Mass Effect, Dead Space and Need for Speed. Subsequent to EA, Lee moved over to Supercell, managing mobile gaming titles: Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. His anime experience includes stints at VIZ Media (managing Naruto, One Punch Man, Bleach and Doraemon) and Crunchyroll (managing Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Gundam and Robotech.)

After working in Japan as a publicist for Buena Vista on films such as Fantasia 2000, Chiyako Slawinski moved to the United States in 2001 to study film at UCLA. While at school, she studied producing and continued her career in anime licensing sales. Being involved in the adaptation of One Missed Call from Japanese film Chakushin Ari for KADOKAWA Pictures USA, she witnessed the process of adaptation up close and became convinced that Japanese IP had endless possibilities for finding global audiences. Later, she met veteran Disney producer Chuck Williams while working on Sonic the Hedgehog feature film for Sega’s group company Marza Animation Planet. After Marza, she served as a producer at WOWMAX, where she developed several adaptations of Japanese IP. She is thrilled to now be working closely with Chuck again, finding great Japanese IP and being closely involved in producing all aspects of development. “It’s great honor and privilege to be bringing so many great Japanese IP adaptations to a worldwide audience.”

Marlene Sharp is a creative and business-savvy entertainment multi-hyphenate who originally hails from New Orleans but is now a (San Fernando) Valley girl. Firmly ensconced in LA life, Marlene is top dawg at Pink Poodle Productions and Executive Producer of Rainshine Entertainment’s forthcoming animated feature film trilogy YOUNG CAPTAIN NEMO. Noteworthy clients and collaborators include Neko Productions, Autism in Entertainment Conference 2024, LAPMF, and The Center for Learning Unlimited/Brainstorm Productions. Prior to Pink Poodle and Rainshine, Marlene served as Director, Production at LEVEL-5 abby, home of YO-KAI WATCH and other Japanese hit video game-based franchises.

Formerly, as Producer, TV Series, at Sega of America, Marlene worked on much more than Teen Choice Award-nominated Cartoon Network series SONIC BOOM. For example, her extensive Hedgehog duties took her to the heights of nerd-dom as an official San Diego Comic-Con 2017 panelist. She also contributed significantly to the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog feature film.

She co-created and co-hosted the Asian Enough podcast for the Los Angeles Times, a 2022 Southern California Journalism Award-winning podcast about Asian American identity named one of “10 Essential Podcasts from AAPI Creators” by Vanity Fair and a finalist for the Online Journalism Award for excellence in audio digital storytelling.
