Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF)
MCDF is a Chinese-initiated multilateral development finance mechanism that facilitates high-quality infrastructure and connectivity investments in developing countries. It promotes coordination across existing funding institutions and mechanisms; and encourages sustainable infrastructure development through wider adoption of accredited international financial institutions’ (IFI) standards.
Currently administered by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), MCDF provides grants and technical assistance. It focuses on building capacity, sharing information, and helping countries prepare infrastructure projects.
