China Development Bank (CDB)
CDB mainly engages in medium- and long-term lending and investment to support the implementation of China’s development strategies. It tends to issue non-concessional loans, although the Chinese Government may require CDB to offer low-interest loans for specific projects. Especially for large infrastructure projects, it may co-issue syndicated loans with commercial banks.
CDB provides individual and co-financing for projects in sectors including water supply and sanitation; industry, mining, and construction; communications; energy; health; social infrastructure and services; business and services; education; banking and financial services; agriculture, forestry, and fishing; transport and storage; trade policies and regulations; and multisector work.
It releases an annual sustainability report and accepts feedback via fax, email, or phone.
