Scope of Application

Guidelines for Chinese contractors on the recommended list for operating overseas. 

Purpose

Offers basic standards to encourage contractors to meet international development requirements, enhance supervision during and after project evaluations, and promote good project performance and credit.

General Key Points

In the past three years, Contractors on the recommended list must have: 

  • Abided by relevant policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics.
  • Fulfilled social responsibilities and focused on project sustainability. 
  • Avoided major construction, quality, management, or safety issues.
  • Fulfilled the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) membership obligations.
Key Points on Stakeholder Engagement

In the past three years, Contractors on the recommended list must have: 

  • Had good performance in host countries. 
  • Received positive evaluations from local owners, communities, the Chinese Government, Chinese Embassies' economic offices, and Chinese industry associations.
