BKS Iyengar's sādhana (practice) allowed him to see what most students are not able to see. As a result of his long, dedicated and intense practice a matrix of connections between āsanas were revealed. Furthermore, he discovered that Patanjali's eight limbs are interlinked and interwoven - not separate. When a practitioner understands the connections, the practice of āsana takes on greater depth and meaning. 

George Dovas encountered Iyengar Yoga in Sydney, Australia in 1999. Since then he has continued to faithfully practice the teachings of Yogacharya BKS Iyengar. In 2001 George moved to Hong Kong. His study and practice led him to becoming a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, and later the Director of The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong. Annually he spends a minimum of one month studying at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India with the Iyengar family. George is the Chair for the Iyengar Yoga Association of Hong Kong (IYAHK) and is also an assessor of teachers seeking Iyengar Yoga certification in South East Asia and China. George has previously worked as a fitness instructor and also as a business consultant.
