*Due to medical conditions, Richard Meier will be recovering from a surgery and will not be able to join the event. In his place will be Michael Manfredi, of the award-winning firm Weiss/Manfredi, and Jill Lerner from KPF, joining Peter Eisenman in New York.
Jill Lerner is past Chair of the University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning Alumni Advisory Council and is an active member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. She is presently the President of the NYC American Institute of Architects (AIA). A Registered Architect in several states, she also served on the board of the Center for Architecture Foundation.
Michael Manfredi is cofounder of WEISS/MANFREDI Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism, based in New York City and has been the Gensler Visiting Professor at Cornell University. He received his Master of Architecture at Cornell University, where he studied with Colin Rowe.
Peter Eisenman was educated at Cornell University as well as Columbia and Cambridge. A member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and the American Academy of Arts & Letters, he has received the Medal of Honor from the AIA New York Chapter, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Architecture, among others.
Michael Lynch joined the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in July 2011. He has a long and distinguished career in arts administration, serving as Chief Executive of the Sydney Opera House from 1989 to 2002 and then led the rejuvenation of London’s Southbank Centre, where he was Chief Executive from 2002 to 2009.
Kent Kleinman is Dean of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University, where he is also a member of the Architecture Advisory Committee and the Cornell NYC Tech Campus Executive Committee, among several others.
