Sydney A. Seiler (Senior Analyst, PACOM U.S. Forces Korea)
Sydney Seiler, a member of the Senior National Intelligence Service since 2006, is the USFK Senior Analyst and Senior Defense Intelligence Expert for North Korea. He is the principal advisor and senior expert on Korean Peninsula security issues to the USFK Commander, Director for Intelligence (J2), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC), and Theatre and Defense Intelligence Enterprise. Prior to this position, Mr. Seiler served as the Senior Advisor to the Director of National Intelligence, and has over 36 years working in the U.S. Government as an intelligence officer, senior executive manager, senior policymaker, and negotiator. From 2014 to 2015, Mr. Seiler served as the U.S. Special Envoy for the Six Party Talks, where he coordinated U.S. diplomacy and policy on the DPRK, led negotiations with North Korea, and conducted day-to-day engagement with Six-Party partners. Prior to that, Mr. Seiler served as the Director for Korea on the National Security Council staff from April 2011 to August 2014, advising the President and senior White House officials on South and North Korea issues, serving as the senior White House representative in negotiations with North Korea, and planning and coordinating policy on Korea.

Michael Breen (CEO, Insight Communications Consultants)
Michael Breen is an author and consultant. His latest book, The New Koreans, was published by St. Martin’s Press in 2017. A former correspondent for American and British newspapers, he writes occasional opinion columns for international and local media, commenting on Korean social, cultural, and political issues. He is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and has lived in South Korea since 1982. He is the founder and CEO of Insight Communications Consultants, a Seoul-based public relations firm.
