Slow Art Day is a global event with a simple mission: help more people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art. In this virtual edition of Slow Art Tour, audience are encourage to spend 5-10 minutes to look at the artwork closely and experience the work, and make discoveries.
How to participate?
Now you can engage in Slow Art Tour from home. A series of exhibition videos are available on ASHK social media. Each art work is captured with details and narrated by the docent.
Each video is accompanied by artwork photos, prompts and questions to get you thinking more deeply and critically about the work.

Let’s look at the photos without reading the caption. What kind of atmosphere did you grasp from the tone of the photos? 讓我們看著相片而不看標題。你從相片中感受到一種怎麼樣的氣氛呢？
Now read the caption, and look at the photos again. Does this affect your perception of the photos? 現在閱讀標題，然後再看相片。這對你對相片的感知有什麼改變？
The photos are taken by pointing the camera toward the sky, why do you think the artist would like to capture the sky instead of the surroundings? Can you relate to this feeling when you look up to the sky? 這一系列照片是透過藝術家將鏡頭指向天空拍攝而成的。你認為藝術家為何要以這視點記錄天空而非周圍的環境？ 你會否覺得與抬頭望天的感覺有點相似？
How does knowing the social events that happened more than 50 years ago and looking at the photos of the location nowadays, affect your perception of time, history, memory? 從閱讀50多年前發生的社會事件，和觀看今天在事件發生的地點所拍攝的照片。這觀看經驗如何影響你對時間，歷史和記憶的感知？
The series expands to video My Random Dairy and audio 50 Years, which recorded the civil and artist’s personal events on the same date. Did the aid of audio note alter your viewing experience, and how you perceive this piece of history? - Have you ever heard about any civil events that were mentioned in 50 Years? Are you familiar with anyone who has been through or witnessed any incidents in that period of time? 你有聽說過《五十年》中所提及的民生事件嗎？有沒有你認識的人經歷過或目睹過那段時間所發生的事件？
- My Random Dairy and 50 Years collects the “celebratory events” and “violent incidents” that happened on the same day that recorded in the newspaper. How do you feel about this juxtaposition of the incidents with utterly different nature? What message does the artist is suggesting through this setting?《我的混亂日記》和《五十年》收集了報章上報導在同一天發生的「慶祝事件」和「暴力事件」。你對這兩種性質截然不同的事件並置有何看法嗎？你認為藝術家希望透過這種呈現帶給觀眾什麼訊息？

Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1968
Photographed in black and white film on February 14, 2018 at 64 Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po. On February 14, 1968, a 21-year-old factory worker was indecently assaulted by a stranger on the staircase of 64 Tai Nan Street. She struggled but was hurt on the head. The man fled when her neighbours came out for the noise.
