Let’s explore the magical world of reading!
September’s Reading
When Zack returns home to a sleepy town in the heart of Africa, he thinks he is in for a dreary summer holiday. With two lazy sisters and a bunch of bullies in the town, there is not much hope for him. It all changes when he forms a friendship with Kante, his new ‘rafiki’.
The Boat Race is a story of friendship, mystical creatures and the magic of a million stars of love and kindness. Above all, a story of Africa.
This month of Young Adventurers’ Book Club, we will travel to Africa with writer Anjali Mittal, to see the wildebeest migration and the wild animals in Africa, and meet the Maasai tribes!
ANJALI MITTAL graduated from the University of York with a degree in Chemistry and obtained a diploma in Perfumery. Her writing career began in 2009 and since then she has published five books.
She presents at schools and offers workshops which she has done in Hong Kong, China, U.K. and Africa.
Anjali is an active member of the Hong Kong Writer’s Circle and critique groups in Hong Kong as well as in the U.K., and a member of two book clubs and the founder of the German Swiss International School (GSIS) Book Club which has been actively running since 2011.
