Leo Phillips studied with Sandor Vegh, Dorothy DeLay and Shmuel Ashkenasi and has since appeared as soloist with many orchestras worldwide. He co-founded the Vellinger Quartet and was Leader of London’s Nash Ensemble. He has toured extensively, appeared at many international music festivals, and has made many acclaimed recordings and broadcasts. He has performed as Leader/Concertmaster of more than thirty world-renowned orchestras including The London Philharmonic, The Chamber Orchestra of Europe and The Hong Kong Philharmonic, as conductor Leo performs regularly with orchestras in Thailand and several other Asian countries. As teacher and chamber music coach, Leo has enjoyed teaching at many prestigious educational institutions in Europe, the U.S., Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
