In 2009, UNESCO designated Indonesian batik into the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity from Indonesia. Since then, National Batik Day is celebrated annually on October 2nd.
Bringing back the past story of Batik in Indonesia, Batik artist, Yunike Haskins will tell how this art transforms beyond borders and boundaries. Hear how stories drawn in batik become reality as ancient heritage shapes lives today.
