On the occasion of its official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, in the context of the Paris 2024 sports events, Fondation de France Asia is organising on 19 June 2024 an exceptional evening celebrating sport as a solution to social, racial, gender or social inequalities, with a screening of David Blough’s film “XXI – A Sport named solutions”.
Co-organised with the Consulate General of France as part of “the Night of Ideas” (La Nuit des Idées), the event will also be an opportunity to share examples of integration through sport in Hong Kong, with a discussion between the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and its beneficiaries.
Inspired by the essay ‘A sport named solutions’ by David Blough, the film ‘XXI - A sport named solutions’ is an unprecedented immersion into emblematic initiatives in the field of sport and social impact. Through inspiring testimonials from beneficiaries, former sportsmen and women, educators and voluntary workers, we discover how these initiatives are opening up the field of possibilities when it comes to the place of sport in tomorrow's world. This documentary presents stories from five different countries, offering a diversity of perspectives and experiences in a captivating journey.

Rocky Chow is a highly experienced professional in the fields of sport and business development, with a career spanning over 20 years in the Asia Pacific region. Since joining Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) in 2015, Rocky has taken on various responsibilities and achieved notable accomplishments, including his involvement in the marketing of the annual Cathy/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, a significant global event in Hong Kong. He has also played a key role in establishing the first Asia Pacific Rugby Franchise in Hong Kong with the South China Tigers. In his commercial capacity, Rocky has successfully managed partnerships with renowned companies such as HSBC, Societe Generale, Accenture, KPMG, Nan Fung Group, and Hysan Development.
In 2020, Rocky shifted his focus towards the development of the local rugby scene in Hong Kong by taking on the role of Chief Community Officer. This change reflects his commitment to nurturing and strengthening rugby as the local game in Hong Kong.
As a firm believer in the transformative power of sport, Rocky also manages HKCR's official charity, Rugby For Good. This charity, recognized as the first sports charity to receive Section 88 status, utilises rugby and sports to make a positive social impact on underrepresented children and youth. Rugby For Good is dedicated to promoting social inclusion and well-being, aiming to foster connections and unity within the community.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Rocky volunteers his time to serve on committees at the British Chamber and with Laureus. These commitments highlight his dedication to social sustainability and sport for development work in Hong Kong.

Tina Wong is a 25-year veteran in the sports marketing and development arena, boasting an impressive portfolio spanning Hong Kong, China, and Singapore for major sporting events and multinational clients such as WTA, Nike, and Bloomberg. Beyond her professional achievements, Tina has served as a trusted advisor, lending her strategic guidance on innovative sports, youth, and community initiatives for entities like FC Barcelona APAC and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Hong Kong.
In 2019, Tina channeled her extensive industry expertise into co-founding SOCIAL S, a social venture dedicated to promoting inclusion, upward mobility, and poverty alleviation through immersive, sports-based interventions. Driven by a deep passion for driving positive change, Tina is leveraging the unifying power of sports to transform communities.

With over 30 years of public and sports administration experience, Calvin Wong is a retired sport administrator passionate about promoting Nordic Walking (NW) in Hong Kong. Since October 2023, he has conducted 8 NW training courses and several taster sessions, introducing the sport to over 200 participants. His in-depth knowledge of sports administration, training scheme design and implementation, coupled with his extensive network in the sports community and public sectors, enable him to effectively drive the growth of NW in Hong Kong.
