Join us for the final performance of the Ode to the Trees series curated by Project 21st : and the forest also gazes into you world premiere! The performance will be held in the Chantal Miller Gallery. Admission is free, walk-ins welcome.

The Ode to the Trees series was inspired by nature and trees across different cultures and eras. Led by Sharon Chan and Charles Kwong, the compositions performed presents the composer’s vast imaginations and sonorities brought to them by the ontogenesis of the woods and trees. Join us in the gallery, surrounded by the multi-sensory works of our To See the Forest and the Trees exhibition and be immersed in nature through sound, sight and smell.

Robert Schumann: Waldszenen, Op.82 (1849) for solo piano 為鋼琴獨奏而寫
Kaija Saariaho: Sept Papillons - Movements IV, V & VI (2000) for solo cello 為大提琴獨奏而寫
Pauline Oliveros: Tree/Peace (1984) for violin, cello and piano 為小提琴、大提琴及鋼琴而寫
Charles Kwong 鄺展維 : and the forest also gazes into you 《樹林也在凝視著你》 (2019, world premiere 世界首演)  for violin, cello and piano 為小提琴、大提琴及鋼琴而寫
