Music in the Exhibition A Story of Light: Hon Chi-fun 週末音樂欣賞│Weekend Music Performance

亞洲協會香港中心為了慶祝展覽光的故事 : 韓志勳，邀請了作曲家鄧樂妍博士，聯同兩位青年音樂家，萬幸及筎健朗，來到麥禮賢夫人藝術館，以箏和笙演奏三首樂曲。讓觀眾在音樂的襯托下，重新欣賞韓志勳的藝術作品，為展覽的最後一天拉下謝幕。

To celebrate the exhibition A Story of Light: Hon Chi-fun, ASHK has invited composer Dr. Tang Lok-yin, along two young talented musicians, Wan Xing and Yue Kin Long, to perform three pieces of music with Zheng (Chinese zither) and Sheng (Chinese woodwind instrument) at the Chantal Miller Gallery. On the last day of the exhibition, audiences are invited to re-appreciate Hon’s artworks against the backdrop of music.

鄧樂妍博士作品融會中、西樂，涉獵器樂、舞蹈及歌劇的音樂創作，屢次在國際舞台上獲獎，包括亞洲作曲家同盟音樂節青年作曲家比賽第一名，新加坡華樂團作曲大賽「青年作曲家創作獎」，北京「帕拉天奴杯」作曲比賽優秀獎以及維也納蘇海文作曲獎。除作曲外，鄧氏亦從事編曲、演奏、音樂會製作，教學與電台廣播工作。她現擔任香港國際鼓手節總監。

Dr. Tang Lok-yin is an active composer in worldwide, her works achieve mastery in both Chinese and Western music, covering instrumental, dance and operatic music, with a brilliant track record of awards, includes the 1st prize at the Asian Pacific Festival of the Asian Composers' League, Young Composer Award at the International Competition for Chinese Orchestral Composition (Singapore); Outstanding Award at the "Palatino" Piano Composition (China), and "Dr. Helmut Sohmen Composition Prize" (Vienna). Apart from composition, she also works as Director, Producer, Arranger, Performer and Radio Board Cast Presenter in different engagements. She is the director of the Hong Kong International Drummer Festival.

箏│Zheng

萬幸，箏獨奏者，是2011 年第二屆國際古箏比賽青年專業組金獎得獎者。2002年5月，萬幸參加中國文化部主辦的第一屆中國民族樂器大賽，獲得古箏少年組優秀獎表演獎。同年8月在中國青少年藝術新人選拔大賽中，又獲得古箏青年專業組金獎。
Wan Xing, Zheng soloist, is the winner of the Gold Award in the 2nd International Guzheng Competition in 2011. In 2002, she won the Best Performance Award in the First Folk Instruments Competition organized by The National Chinese Cultural Department. Same year, she won the Gold Award in the Chinese Youth Musicians Competition.

笙│Sheng

筎健朗現為西九戲曲中心茶館新星劇團駐團笙樂師、香港天籟敦煌樂團團長及無界樂人JohnChen Ensemble主要成員。茹氏近年多次於本地及海外大型藝術節亮相，更積極與多個藝術團體合作，其中包括: 香港弦樂團、西九文化區戲曲中心、桃花源粵劇工作舍等，其足跡更遍及世界各地。
Currently serving as musician in the Tea House Rising Stars Troupe in the West Kowloon, Yue Kin Long is head of orchestra with the Gaudeamus Dunhuang ensemble and a principal member of the John Chen Ensemble. His participation in local and international festivals include collaborations with the Hong Kong String Orchestra, West Kowloon Cultural Centre, and the Utopia Cantonese Opera Workshop.
