Movers & Shakers

Organized by the Asia Society Hong Kong Center and sponsored by the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, Movers & Shakers is a 12-month program aimed at developing global competence and leadership skills among Hong Kong students. The goal is to inspire and instill an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset amongst students, and to strengthen their future competitive edge in Hong Kong and beyond.

Playwriting

Interested in theater and stage productions and how to give life to a successful drama? The art of playwriting requires a combination of imagination and flair, as well as technique and academic rigor. Join award-winning playwright Candace Chong for insights and advice on writing for theatrical productions during this interactive workshop.

The workshop will be conducted in two parts. Part One will involve script-reading, collective research and creative brainstorming. Participants are required to complete an original script of a short play after Part One to be reviewed by Ms. Chong.  Part Two, to be conducted separately, Ms. Chong will provide feedback and comment on submissions to help students fine-tune their creative writing techniques.
