Once in New York, the Hindi-speaking Shashi is faced with ever-mounting humiliations. From this point onwards, Shashi has an unwavering ambition to learn to English and overcome this insecurity and uses her strength and determination to try and obtain her goal of mastering the English language while teaching the world a lesson on the way to becoming a self-assured and confident woman
