Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett
VIEW EVENT DETAILSEmmy Award-winning musician, songwriter, producer and composer Peter Buffett has an acclaimed career that spans more than 28 years. The multi-talented artist was the creative mind behind numerous CNN, Coca-cola commercials, and many of the popular MTV logo bumpers in the 80's. One of his most celebrated feats includes the scoring of the 'Fire Dance' in Academy Award Best Picture Dances with Wolves. Beyond music, social action and philanthropy are very important to Peter. His tireless work with numerous non-profit organizations and charities has made him a well-known activist for social concerns and these messages play out through his music. In this special presentation interspersed with his musical and multimedia work, Peter will candidly discuss growing up as the youngest son of legendary investor Warren Buffett, the lessons he has learned, his take on 'earning your own reward,' how his philanthropic work is influencing his music, and vice versa. This 'Concert & Conversation' series was launched in Fall 2008, and has toured mainly in the US. Cellist Michael Kott will accompany Peter, who will be on the piano, in what should be the Asia premiere of the performance in a public setting.
