Hike with fellow members along this eight-kilometer route, you can get to explore the nature and greenery around the Victoria Peak and the Aberdeen Reservoir. The route is good for beginners and amateur hikers as it is mostly flat route or down slope path.

The starting point of the hike is at the Victoria Peak Fire Station, which is a former Peak School built in 1914 and was taken over as a fire station in 1967, is easily accessible by public transport. After a two to three hours hike, depending on the fitness and speed of the participants, you will end at the Tin Hau Temple in Aberdeen, which is a Grade 3 historic building built in 1851.

Russ Harding, a member of Asia Society Hong Kong Center, who had been exploring the nature and beauty of Hong Kong, will be leading our fellow members in this hike. After the hike, you are welcomed to join him for lunch at a local shop serving delicious Shanghainese dumplings.

* Other points to note:

• Participants must be at least 8 years old on the activity day.
• For safety reasons, those with impaired mobility, aided by others, or children in prams or carried in arms are not allowed to participate in the visits.
• Participants should wear clothing that are suitable for hiking and bring adequate drinking water, mosquito repellent, sunblock and rain gears.
• The hike maybe cancelled due to wet weather or other climates reasons. We will keep all registered participants notified if there are any changes.
