Asia Trade and Innovation Hub
The Asia Trade and Innovation Hub is a partnership between Asia Society Australia, RMIT University and the Victorian Government. Located at RMIT’s CBD campus on Swanston Street in the heart of Melbourne’s academic and innovation precinct, the Hub is a physical and digital “front door” to Asia. It is a meeting place for virtual, face-to-face and hybrid events, policy discussions, applied research, social and traditional media engagement, and online and blended learning.
The Asia Trade and Innovation Hub leverages partners’ expertise and networks to create new opportunities for Victoria and Australia’s economic engagement with Asia, focusing on trade, investment and innovation. RMIT’s footprint in Asia, industry-focused research capabilities and world-class facilities in Melbourne complement Asia Society’s global network, policy impact and convening and analytical power.
RMIT and Asia Society Australia have built the Hub in partnership with the Victorian Government through the Victorian Higher Education State Investment Fund (VHESIF). The Hub produces research and convenes public and executive programs, designed to foster trade and investment between Victoria, Australia and the region in priority sectors and markets, with a special focus on South-East Asia.
